Medieval battle records go online

British researchers have released a free-to-access database containing detailed service records for 250,000 English soldiers from 1369 to 1453.

According to Dr Adrian Bell of the University of Reading, the" Soldier in later Medieval England" research project database contains "indentures for service detailing the forces to be raised, [and] muster rolls showing this service and naming every soldier from duke to archer."
